The Forum acts as a consultation group within the three major phases of the project (requirements, specifications, validation and organisational aspects) to review and consolidate results and also as a platform to present the results and promote their exploitation.
Some close coooperation will also be established with some existing forums composed of key stakeholders from public and private sectors: MAPS & ADAS Public Authorities Consultation Platform, ADASIS Forum, SpeedAlert Forum and eSafety Forum Digital Maps Working Group. Through the collaboration with these inital groups, consultation activities will be carried out in the form of targeted working meetings or larger workshops.
In addition, the Forum helps to create a larger awareness of the issues and the existing possibilities on a European scale. Some European countries are already advanced in this development whereas others lag behind due to apparent organisational complexities. The sharing of best practices from countries ahead of the curve and development of adequate tools will enable countries to follow and thus accelerate the pace that road safety attributes can be accessible in an interoperable way on a Pan-European market.
Members of the ROSATTE Forum have access to all important documents and are invited to attend the workshops foreseen at key stages of the project.
